Money Matters Sessions were held September 26th and October 2nd, 2017 thanks to our TD Volunteers and ABC Life Literacy Canada. TLE was pleased to bring back to CDC Vimont: Money Matters, a financial literacy program developed by ABC Life Literacy Canada in partnership with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (Education Savings Community Outreach – ESCO) and Founding Partner TD Bank Group.
TD Bank volunteers Nelson, Tashima, Oussama and Mariam worked with small groups of students to talk about Money Matters. The goal of Money Matters is to increase the numeracy and financial literacy skills of Canadian adult learners leading to increased confidence in dealing with their personal finances and making appropriate financial decisions.
What does Money Matters look like? Each session includes discussion questions, real world examples and activities. Money Matters workbooks and calculators are available for all learners taking part in the sessions. If you would like to see or borrow a Money Matters kit please contact us at TLE.
