
[WURD] Up is a FREE community literacy series developed to support youth and their families from Laval Senior Academy (LSA) and Laval Junior Academy (LJA) as well as the greater English-speaking community of Laval. Evenings are designed to explore and promote literacy skills.

Theme: Cultural Literacy – Black History Month
Join us for an inspiring evening with writer, performer and Laval Senior Academy alumna Deanna Smith as we celebrate the launch of the Ile Ife Africana Studies Collection (IIASC).
This project has been established by Deanna Smith in coordination with LSA’s Community Learning Centre with the purpose of providing young people with expanded resources related to the history and cultures of the African Diaspora.
Focus: Launch of the Ile-Ifé Africana Studies Collection (IIASC) coordinated in conjunction with Black History Month
