Craft Activity: Animal Finger Puppets
Have fun putting on a finger puppet show with this easy-to-do craft.
Materials needed:
- Scissors and markers
- White glue or glue gun + glue sticks
- Assorted pipe cleaners
- Assorted popsicle sticks
- Assorted google eyes
- Assorted large and small pompoms
Directions Pipe Cleaner Animal Finger Puppets:
- Twist and loop a pipe cleaner around a finger to make a spiral.
- Attach another pipe cleaner to the top of the spiral body to add ears or hair. Add plastic beads, if desired.
- Glue a pompom and google eyes to the pipe cleaner where the ears/hair and spiral body are joined.
- NOTE: White glue will need a long time to dry. Adults can use a glue gun for pompoms to stick immediately.
Directions Popsicle Stick Puppets:
- Use pompoms, google eyes and pipe cleaners to make cute popsicle stick puppets.
- Use markers to colour and decorate sticks or to add things like a smile.
- NOTE: Adults can use a glue gun for pompoms and google eyes to stick immediately. White glue will need time to set.







Easy Paper Craft
Here is an easy paper craft alternative to the Animal Finger Puppets craft.
Materials needed:
- Paper
- Crayons, coloured pencils or markers
Ideas:
- Draw a picture of what your house would look like if all the animals came inside!
- Pick an animal picture, download, print and colour.
